The best concert ever TWO! 2020

Hi again! I already talked about the concert I thought it was the best of my life. But it was a concert which I experienced as public. This time I will talk about a concert where I performed as a singer.
It happened in 2012 and it was the concert that change my life and made me feel like music was the way I wanted to take.

“Crecer Cantando” choir, of the Municipal Theater Of Santiago, made a call to all students who wanted to sing the 9th Symphony by Ludwig van Beethoven. It was a total new experience for me because I’ve always sang in my school choir but this choir was the most professional I’ve ever been in. So it was also an amazing learning experience.

For the first time I was part of a good group of musicians, and the first time I sang a piece of music so important and so long. I didn’t even know what was a symphony so I was very impressed for the duration. The piece lasted like an hour! That was impossible in my head!
The process was awesome! I new a lot of friend who I keep in touch until now. The rehearsals were very fun and the music really made me feel like I was in love <3

We made two concerts in the theater with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Santiago, and the director was José Luis Dominguez, a very important Chilean director.
The concert was beautiful. To hear the people clapping for us was an experience that I will never forget. And to hear the soloist made me feel like I wanted to be there in the future. Singing in theaters and making beautiful music.

And here I am! Studying music and I am very happy of this decision!

  1. It’s amazing how social/educative projects like “crecer cantando” can expand the horizon of children and youth. Something similar happened to me thanks to the youth orchestra that I participated.
