The role of Technology in my Profession and Life :)

Hi! For the last time L Technology is part of my life since I was a kid. I remember that when I was younger I really liked to play videogames in my computer. Then, when I was growing, I spended a lot of time on Messenger or reading fanfics on internet. Those were nice times… jajajaja But now, technology has evolved a lot and there are so many more tools and programmes than 10 years ago. In this times, it’s hard to be out of the use of technology because, in my case, it’s my most important way to communicate. I have lost a lot of cellphones, but the last time I did it was horrible! People use them to create WhatsApp groups where they coordinate EVERYTHING, the hour, the place, the date of works. I use my phone to read my emails. To study my scores… I didn’t have it just for a few days and I felt very disconnected and it was a professional problem. Of course there are limits. In fact, I notice sometimes (a lot of times jajaja) that I’m spending too many hours on my socia

Challenges for 2020 :O

Hello! Today’s topic is something really exciting for me right now because 2020 will be a really challenging year. The first challenge I decided to take is to change my singing teacher. When you study an instrument, it’s always good to change your guide teacher. This way you can have more opinions, point of view and maybe, better ways to understand the way of playing your instrument. So, this year I will study with Patricia Cifuentes, a really important national soprano. Another awesome challenge that is not totally confirmed yet but it’s awesome anyway, is that I’m going to participate in an opera singers Programme. This is an incredible opportunity considering that in Chile, there isn’t any institution which guarantee that finishing your process, you will be able to survive in the artistic medium. BUT this programme seems to be THE ONE which really is intended for this. It will be very intensive but I am really motivated with it. Beside those challenges, I’m working in

The best concert ever TWO! 2020

Hi again! I already talked about the concert I thought it was the best of my life. But it was a concert which I experienced as public. This time I will talk about a concert where I performed as a singer. It happened in 2012 and it was the concert that change my life and made me feel like music was the way I wanted to take. “Crecer Cantando” choir, of the Municipal Theater Of Santiago, made a call to all students who wanted to sing the 9 th Symphony by Ludwig van Beethoven. It was a total new experience for me because I’ve always sang in my school choir but this choir was the most professional I’ve ever been in. So it was also an amazing learning experience. For the first time I was part of a good group of musicians, and the first time I sang a piece of music so important and so long. I didn’t even know what was a symphony so I was very impressed for the duration. The piece lasted like an hour! That was impossible in my head! The process was awesome! I new a lot of friend

A country I would like to visit 2. (jan.2020)

Hi! My name is Claudia and I have to talk again about a country I would like to visit. Last time I couldn’t decide just one place because I think that there are a lot of countries that I would like visiting in Europe and Latinoamèrica. Also, I’m not totally sure about where I want to continue with my musician studies. But lately I’ve been thinking that London, England is a place which have the two things that I’m interested in: There is a really good programme for opera singers and also, it’s in Europe so I can enjoy all the history and architectonic structures that I like to enjoy. If I could go there, I would try to apply to the Jette Parker Young Artists Programme in the Royal Opera House. Or maybe, to have information and some classes with some great teacher. Also I would like to learn more about the british accent because the last time I have needed it to sing some english repertoire. I don’t know too many features of this country. I only know that there are a

As a musician, I've been to a lot of concerts of partners, teachers and even international instrument players. But the one which was the most awesome for me was two years ago. A famous lyric singer came to Chile and gave a concert in Movistar Arena. She was the russian-austrian Anna Netrebko. For all the singers, she's like a legend. We all have seen her videos on youtube since she was very young until now, and his voice has been always really impressive. I've never thought that I could know her because I believed that she would never come to Chile, and even if she could come, I could never have the money to go to her concert. But... I had a friend who used to collect autographs of the famous singers who came to Chile, and he used to go to the hotels or to the dressing rooms to obtain them. So, when we knew that Anna would come, we decided to go to the private general rehearsal and luckily, we could know her, ask for an autograph, take pictures with her, listen to h

Since I was a kid, the idea of traveling seemed imposible to me. It has been always as expensive that  I didn't even think about it. But when I was 14 I had the opportunity to travel to Spain for three weeks and the global world opened in front of my eyes. At the same time, I was knowing the music world and the topic of traveling was something normal. Now, that I'm on my fourth year, traveling is something necessary for my career. Traveling is an opportunity to learn about music and our instrument technique in countries where the tradition and the culture have allowed to exist conservatories where learning is completely different that here in Chile. Is for that reason that I would like to visit some country in Europe to continue with my studies as a singer.  I’m not very sure about the destiny becouse there are so many options… but I think in Germany, Italy or England as good options. I don’t know much about these places or the cities where I would like to arrive

English 4: Learning english

It's easy for me to learn english memorising estructures and applying it while I talk with someone else about any topic. It's hard for me to learn when I am not interested in the class or when I'm not sure about the teacher skills. Something I want to learn in this course is how to use more complex verb tenses. I learn better in classes where the teacher is clear about the contents and instructions. Also when I can practice. I participate more in classes when the topic of conversation is interesting.
